Release Notes

  • Added audio capabilities
  • Sounds - Newly broken and newly successful builds are sound events and a .wav file can be assigned (this can be turned on/off separately - see PlaySounds in app config file)
  • Speech - The computer speaks! It says "ProjectX is broken" (using SAPI). Can be turned on/off separately - see PlaySpeech config setting. Speech can also be configured to say what you want (eg "Project X [your text here]") - this should be fun, since the config file can be edited on-the-fly and changes are applied immediately
Some useful sample audio files are included with the install
NB the audio settings are not accessible from the Settings Dialog. Edit the BigVisibleCruise2.exe.config file

  • Fixed crash (strange win32 exception is handled, rather than throwing up)
  • A couple of exceptions which should be caught rather than stop the app from continuing are now caught and logged
  • Fixed CountdownTimer to stop and restart after every poll to the webserver to ensure is not "winding up"
  • Fixed SandboxWebClient to release lock on the DummyProjectStatus.xml file (for live editing/testing)
  • 100% CPU caused by MessageWindow not stopping it's timer
Under the hood
  • Major refactor of the entire codebase - incorporating Dependency Injection (using Ninject) - this is a significant benefit to simplicity, testability and therefore the ease of adding new functionality (ie code quality)
